Hi Friends!
Have you ever considered giving your kitchen a new look, but not sure where to begin? In today’s blog, I want to share with you the story of my clients who recently purchased a 3,200 square foot Colonial home in Cohoes, NY. While the house boasts ample living space and plenty of storage, the style of the home didn’t quite match the style my clients were seeking to express in their new home. That’s where the FunCycled team comes in!
With over 12 years of experience working in the Capital Region, we have worked with several clients to understand their personal style and needs, so completing this kitchen makeover to match the outcome for them was our joy!

Take a look at the before photos. The kitchen is large and functional but the cabinets were outdated and needed new life.
Now check out the after photos! What a difference!
We kept the layout completely the same, and the counters as well as the backsplash remained in place. Simply painting the cabinets gave this tired kitchen the facelift it needed!
Cabinets were painted in Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray and the Island in Benjamin Moore Slate Teal, both with a lacquer finish to ensure the paint is sealed well.
Please note, the true color of the island was not well translated in these after photos, but the finished product was too beautiful to not share it with you! And check out that hardware transformation! What a difference. The black and gold (curiously the same I used in my own home!) really elevates this kitchen and also make it an easy match for other hardware choices in the home!
Below are the swathes for the two paint colors
A huge thanks to Laura and Greg for hiring us to do the kitchen cabinet painting work.
It is a beautiful transformation!!
Could your kitchen use an update? We’d love to help!! We can help pick out colors, finishes, product and do the cabinet painting, tiling, add new hardware. You can use our Contact Us form to request our design services or a quote for painting your kitchen. Please check out other kitchen projects on our For Sale page. We’ll need to see a picture of your kitchen, a list of how many doors and drawers there are, and where you are located to email you an estimate. This change ups the value of your home and gives you a whole new look at a fraction of the cost of new kitchen cabinets!
Thank you all for following along! If you’d like to get this blog in your email once a week, please sign up for our weekly newsletter by adding your email in the little box below my picture.
