Hi Friends!
How are you?? The kids started school today. This year, we’re doing a bit of a hybrid program where the kids will be in school 2 days a week and working at home 3 days a week. I’m hopeful that this gives me more time to get work done while also giving them more social interaction than last year. I’m excited to see how they do and we’ll adjust accordingly. One thing I’ve learned over the last few years is that we are going to take one year, heck, one semester at a time and make changes if needed. It’s definitely tricky running a business and homeschooling kids, but I also love having them around so I’m hoping this will be a win, win!
Look how grown up they are!! I can’t believe they were only 2 and 3 when I started FunCycled and now they are 12 and 13!! They are both an absolute joy and gift!
For this week’s furniture makeover, I’m sharing this barn board dresser set that we use added to our Furniture For Sale page.
Check them out before:
To be able to add barn board to the front of a dresser, you need to find dressers with what looks like picture framing around each drawer. That gives enough depth to remove the trim and add barn board to the drawer.
We did that to both of these dressers, added this new hardware, and painted the boxes Simply White by Benjamin Moore. If you want to see how we paint furniture, check out our How to Paint Furniture post. Ready for the after photos?
This dresser set is available now to purchase! Head to our Shop Page to check them out!
Thank you all for following along! If you’d like to get this blog in your email once a week, please sign up for our weekly newsletter by adding your email in the little box below my picture.
