Hi Friends!
I’ve been so excited to share this kitchen makeover with you. Not just because it’s a beautiful makeover, but because this project was for a beautiful soul! My dear friend, Carrie, worked with me at a summer camp 18 years ago. She was the camp nurse and I was a girls counselor. We hit it right off! Look how cool we were back then! ;) lol
Carrie is so gentle and kind. Always encouraging me at camp, putting her arm around me when I felt lonely from leaving home, and praying with me about life decisions. She’s an absolute gem! After she married her husband, Dana, we lost track of each other until a few years ago when my mom happened to run into her in Connecticut at her church (she didn’t know it was her church).
We reconnected and have been visiting each other ever since then. They have two kids my kids ages so they have fun playing while Carrie and I spend hours catching up on life, talking design, sipping lavender lattes, and laughing the day away. She was just here during the kids spring break and we grabbed drinks at Little Peck’s in Troy.
She’s been thinking about having us redo her kitchen for years! Finally, 2019 was the year for it! The before pictures I have are pretty blurry, but you’ll get the idea. Here’s the pictures before the new counters and backsplash:
Here are the pictures after the new counters and backsplash but before the cabinets were painted:
We painted the majority of the cabinets #1464 Light Pewter by Benjamin Moore and we painted the island #1484 Ashwood Moss by Benjamin Moore. We added new hardware, updated the crown molding above the sink, and added shiplap to the back of the islands which updated this kitchen so much!
You can use our Contact Us form or check out other kitchen projects on our For Sale page. We’ll need to see a picture of your kitchen, a list of how many doors and drawers there are, and where you are located to email you an estimate. This change ups the value of your home and gives you a whole new look at a fraction of the cost of new kitchen cabinets!
