Happy Tuesday friends!!
How are you? I hope you all shopped small and shopped local this past Saturday. It was our first shop small business Saturday with a storefront and the response was overwhelmingly encouraging. When people take time to say how much they love our designs and the quality of our work, it means more than I can ever say. It also reminds me of a very simple life lesson that I tend to easily forget. If you are thinking something nice, say it. People love to hear a word of encouragement. You’ll make their day. Promise.
I can’t wait to show you this week’s furniture makeover. Mostly because I love a mustard yellow furniture piece. Here’s the china cabinet before.
I’ve been wanting to redo another hutch with fabric inside. I used Benjamin Moore’s Glen Ridge Gold 301 color and turned it into chalk paint for this piece. The inside shelves are painted Valspar’s Vintage Teal. If you’d like to see how we paint furniture, you can check out our How To Paint Furniture post.
After we chalk painted the whole piece, we used an orbital sander to sand through quite of bit of it and then used a water based poly to seal it. You ready for the after pictures??
Want to know the best part about this cabinet?? It’s for sale! Check out our Furniture For Sale page for size and pricing information.
Chelsea’s little guy was sick so I took the pictures today. Not as amazing. but you get the idea. ;) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and remember that this Sunday, December 7th is Troy’s Victorian Stroll from 11am-5pm. We will have hot chocolate and free Christmas pictures for you so stop by and say hi that day, ok?? 272 River Street, Troy, NY!
Happy Funcycling everyone!
Sarah ;)
