Every once in a while, I get a piece of furniture that I know is special so I keep it to myself. Then it takes me forever to actually redo it (I believe I’ve had this desk three years). I’ve had it so long that I thought I took a before picture and never even did. You’d think I would have at some point in three years! Anyway, I finally decided to work on it last week! Then Katie and her husband stopped by our store and bought the black mid century credenza. They wanted something tall to compliment it in their new apartment. I thought of this piece and had already started prepping it.

Katie decided against keeping the door on it which I agreed! We painted the outside Simply White by Benjamin Moore and stained the drawers with a weathered gray stain. If you want to see how we paint furniture, check out our How to Paint Furniture post.
