For Sale! Mustard Paisley Dresser – Tuesday’s Treasures

Wow!!! The last two weeks have been a whirlwind around here!! I haven’t had a chance to explain and have also had a lot of questions coming my way so I thought I would take a little time to tell you what’s going on!

About two weeks ago, the Rachael Ray show called me because they had read about the 30 acts of kindness that I did on my 30th birthday. They are doing a special show for local hero’s. I don’t know all the details yet or even when the show will air, but I did get to go to NYC yesterday to be interviewed about the 30 acts of kindness. I’ll be going back tomorrow for the taping of the actual show (and hopefully get to meet Rachael Ray)!! I’ll know more details then and will definitely pass them on to you as I know them (or as I am allowed to share). Here’s when I left for the city yesterday…

Here’s a picture of my getting ready to go inside for the interview! So excited!!!
Rachael Ray 1

There is no guarantee that my story will go on air, so don’t get too excited yet that you might know someone who was on TV. lol Either way, you will now have a weird looking face in the bathroom of the Rachael Ray show ingrained in your mind. You’re welcome. :)

On a more serious note… a huge thanks to my brother for getting so many of the updates on our website ready in case we are shown and a huge thanks to all of you for being so supportive and encouraging yesterday!!

Did you stop by for furniture before and after’s or for the low down about the Rachael Ray show? Well, in case you’re here for furniture, here’s a little something that I hope tickles your fancy. ;)

This is a simple dresser makeover that was all about the hardware. Here’s the dresser before.

When I went into the new knob aisle at the Hobby Lobby… yup there is a new display system for them too. I personally thanked the manager. I’m not sure if that’s weird, but I did. Love, love some of the new hardware!! Anyway, I found these beauties. All paisley and mustard like! I loved them so much that I decided to design a dresser around them.

The top knobs are a dark sage green to bring out the green in the larger knobs. I painted the whole piece a color that I don’t know. I had bought it a while ago and I can’t remember the name. Sorry. :( Then I glazed it with Valspar’s antiquing glaze.

IMG_7011eI love how it came out so much!!! This piece is FOR SALE!!

Head on over to our Furniture For Sale page and check it out!!

I should have quite a few more stories for you next week about how everything else went at the Rachael Ray show!! Thanks for coming along for the ride! We are feeling beyond blessed over here!!

Happy redesigns everyone,
Sarah
