Hi Friends!
How was your weekend? We had a great time enjoying our church being back open and an afternoon of my mom teaching all the kids how to make her applesauce. These fall days are some of my favorite days. With crisp nights and sunny days, warm apple apple crisp and pumpkin spice latte. Once the leaves start changing, I think upstate NY is one of the most beautiful places in the country.
We’ve also been adjusting to home schooling. I would say week 1 went much better than the first 3 days. I love having the kids home and I love field trips even more! We went to the Saratoga Battlefield last week and had such a wonderful time. We also celebrated Harmony’s birthday this week. Her gift was a kitten – meet Phoebe!
For this week’s makeover, I wanted to show you this bedroom set that came together pretty quickly for Courtney who reached out to me on Facebook. She had been looking for dressers and a bed that have detailing or French provincial designs. She hadn’t had any luck finding what she wanted so we set up a time to talk and I showed her what we could find to purchase for the bed. I went shopping at an annual barn sale and found just what she was looking for with the dresser. Here’s all the pieces before:
We took all three pieces and painted them Simply White by Benjamin Moore and then did a slightly more than light distressing and added new hardware. We also sprayed them with a protective clear coat.
